ELECTRIC DISCHARGE CUTTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide an electric discharge cutting device in which infinite rotation and vertical movement of a circular arc electrodes are allowed while the center of a cut part is supported, the work processes are reduced and discharge of work chips is improved so as to attemp improvement in work efficiency and to prevent drop of a disc after cutting and any leakage of current is eliminated by applying to electrodes, machining processes such as forming slits, grooves and recesses to improve discharge of work chips. CONSTITUTION:A cutting device for cutting articles in water and so on by electric discharge machining is provided with electrodes 38 opposed to a cut part by fixing the cut part center of a member 3 to be cut by a fixture 18, a drive devices 24, 28 which allow the electrodes 38 to rotate infinitely about the cut part center and to move vertically, and an abutting installation tool 42 whose lower end abuts against the member 3 to be cut and which supports the electrodes and the drive devices. Furthermore the electrodes 38 are slit or groove processed and the electrode side faces are recess processed.
