METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MOLDING TIRE WITH OUTER PLY

PURPOSE:To improve productivity of molding a tire with an outer ply by suppressing wrinkle of the ply occurring at a first stage green tire. CONSTITUTION:A first stage molding drum 2 for molding a first stage green tire is arranged mainly at one end side of a first base 8, and a pocket molding drum 3 for molding a sheetlike tire constituting material in a cylindrical state is arranged at the other. A pocket transfer unit 4 of transfer means of the tire constituting material molded on the drum 3 is movably arranged between the drums 2 and 3 on the base 8. A head side bead setter 5 for supplying a bead ring to the end side of the tire constituting material is arranged at the rear of the drum 2, and a tail side bead setter 6 for supplying the ring to the rear end side is arranged at the side of the base 8 in such a manner that the setter 6 is moved to a driving position displaced on the base B and a retracted position moved to the side of the base 8.
