GRINDING DEVICE OF BELT-FORM METAL BODY

PURPOSE:To suppress a bending or a vibration generated to a suppresser roll, and to carry out the grinding process stably so as to improve the surface quality after the grinding, by providing a bracing device to the presser roll, and holding the presser roll by small diameter rolls provided to contact and separate freely. CONSTITUTION:A piston rod 9 is moved upward by operating an elevating device 10 such as a hydraulic cylinder, and at the same time, oscillating members 13 are moved upward through a holding member 8 and a holding shaft member 15, and small diameter rolls 5 and 6 are contacted to the presser roll 2 and held at specific positions by a hydraulic pressure. As a result, a bending of the presser roll 2 is suppressed. Since the two small diameter rolls 5 and 6 are contacted in parallel in the peripheral direction of the presser roll 2, in this case, the oscillating members 13 are kept stable by the small diameter rolls, and at the position to satisfy the balance of the force at the fulcums (the journalled points) of the small diameter rolls.
