NC LATHE PROVIDED WITH AUTOMATIC TOOL REPLACEMENT DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide an NC lathe provided with an automatic tool replacement device which has realized a compact size of the whole machine body, by simplifying the tool replacement operation by dividing into the conveying and the exchanging, as well as by reducing the height of the whole machine body. CONSTITUTION:In an NC lathe which has a turret cutting edge board 6 allowable to moving-position in the directions parallel and orthogonal to the axial line of a main shaft 3 on the guide surface 1a of a bed 1, a running beam 10 provided at the oblique upper side of the bed 1, and extending parallel to the axial line of the main shaft 3; a tool conveying device 12 provided allowable to moving-position along the running beam 10; a tool exchange device 12 provided at the end of the main shaft side of the running beam 10 allowable to rotate its exchange arm 18 around an axial line square to the axial line of the main shaft 3, and allowable moving-position vertically in its axial line direction; and a tool magagine 13 provided at the side of the bed 1, and housing plural tool pots to hold tool holders in the posture parallel to the axial line of the main shaft 3 mountable and demountable in a chain form; are provided.
