Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a guide catheter which indicates smoothly structural movement against a catheter shaft and also has an atraumatic distal end tip which is observable with X-ray. CONSTITUTION: This blood vessel catheter like a guide catheter 10 made of synthetic resin has an atraumatic distal end tip 16, and the far side tip 16 consists of both an elastomeric tubular member 17 of a base edge side 12 and a distal end tubular member 18 which is softer than the member 17. The distal end tubular member 18, which is impregnated with a X-ray radiopaque material, enables observation of the distal end tip 16 by X-ray radioparency when the catheter is arranged on the prescribed position in a patient. A catheter shaft 11 has excellent torsion and a pushing characteristic, and consists of very thin wall surface. The catheter shaft 11 consists of an inner tubular member made of a twisted polymer string impregnated with a thermosetting polyurethane and an outer jacket 22 which is fixed to a twisted tubular member 21 or a thermoplastic coating.
