Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To form a sharp and detailed image by smoothing the surface of an image receiving layer and to instantaneously bond a photograph of face to a card by forming the image receiving layer on the upper surface of a temporary carrier having releasability to constitute a receiving layer temporary carrier. CONSTITUTION:A receiving layer temporary carrier, that is, a receiving layer transfer sheet is used in the production of an image receiving material in a thermal transfer system. In this case, an image receiving layer is formed on the upper surface of a temporary carrier having releasability to constitute a receiving layer temporary carrier. For example, a card 1 is formed by respectively arranging an image receiving layer 3, a writable layer 4, embossed characters 5, printing 6 and a magnetic stripe 7 on a card base material 2. The image receiving layer 3 is directly arranged on the card base material or indirectly arranged thereon through an adhesive layer 8 or an intermediate layer 9. By this constitution, the image receiving layer 3 becomes smooth and a sharp and detailed image can be formed on the surface thereof. Therefore, a photograph of face can be instantaneously provided to the card.
