BATTERY CHARGING CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To make it possible to shift to a maintenance operation speedily by providing a battery voltage drop detecting circuit, a battery short-circuit detecting circuit and a battery short,-circuit, alarm transmission circuit. CONSTITUTION:A battery voltage drop detecting circuit 6 detects the decrease in capacity of a battery 1. A battery short-circuit detecting circuit 7 detects an internal short-circuit of the battery 1. A battery short-circuit, alarm transmission circuit 8 alarms a short-circuit, of the battery 1 by a signal outputted from the two circuits 6 and 7. By this, a decision whether the voltage drop of the battery 1 occurs due to a discharge or the internal short-circuit, can be surely performed, and if the internal short-circuit occurs, the internal short- circuit, is detected and alarmed. Thus, a shifting to a maintenance operation can be speedily performed.
