CONTROL OF DATA OBJECT USED FOR MAINTAINING STATUS INFORMATION OF COMMON DATA WITH LOCAL COMPOUND BODY

PURPOSE: To provide the method and device which generate and access a data object which is stored in a part which cannot be accessed from a program in a main storage device of a data processing system. CONSTITUTION: The main storage device is divided into a program accessible part and a program inaccessible part. Vector control objects and vector entries are stored in the program inaccessible part of the main storage device. Each vector entry has a state, and the meaning of this state is defined by a program. A token is generated to designate the position of a vector control object in the program inaccessible part of the main storage device. Each vector control object includes a field indicating a vector entry so that contents of the vector entry are accessed and can be observed from a central processing unit to show the condition in the vector entry.
