Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To prevent a driven side rotary body from turning together in an asynchronous condition at clutch-on time. CONSTITUTION:A tooth 18 is provided in a stationary member 12 fixed to a clutch stator 2, and this tooth 18 is meshed with a tooth 34 provided in one side of a ring member 32 fixedly provided in an armature 30. A synchronously connecting tooth 36 is provided in the other side of the ring member 32, and a synchronously connecting tooth 38, provided in a rotor 10, is opposed to this tooth 36. When electrified a coil 4 built in the clutch stator 2, magnetic flux is generated, to form a magnetic circuit among the clutch stator 2, rotor 10 and the armature 30, and in this way, the armature 30 is attracted to the rotor 10 against elastic force of a leaf spring 24. Now when a pair of the synchronously connecting teeth 36, 38 are placed in an asynchronous condition, each tooth point is brought into pressure contact, to prevent the teeth from meshing with each other. Here is held meshing between a pair of the teeth 18, 34, and this meshing is released when the synchronously connecting teeth 36, 38 are synchronized and meshed with each other.
