METHOD FOR SPHERING SLAG FINE POWDER

PURPOSE:To provide a method for sphering the fine powder of slag, preventing the adhesion of the sphered fine powder of the slag to the inner wall of a reaction oven, to the inner walls of a recovery hood connected to the reaction oven and to the inner wall of a suction pipe at its part near to its suction port, improving the production yield, preventing the generation of troubles in the oven due to the dropping of the grown adhered powder, and enabling a continuous production operation for a long time. CONSTITUTION:The method for sphering the fine powder of slag by feeding the angular slag fine powder having an average particle diameter of >= approximately 100mum and produced by mechanically grinding the slag into a gas pipe through a feeding pipe, carrying the fine powder in a state dispersed in a gas, blowing out the carried fine powder on a burner flame heated at >=1380 deg.C in the oven, thus thermally melting the fine powder to sphere the particles of the fine powder by their surface tensions, and subsequently recovering the sphered slag fine powder with a suction pipe attached to the upper part of the reaction pipe is used for blowing out the slag fine powder of raw material on the burner flame, while cooling the high temperature part of the inner wall of the reaction oven.
