Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain an airport as an airport city having maximum airport functions and city function on a minimum site without especially securing an airport site, wherein the siting in the Metropolitan area, for example, is possible, noise and environmental problems are minimized and also city functions concentrating in a large city are dispersed and combined properly. CONSTITUTION:A multilayered, artificial ground 1 is formed of concrete structure. In its uppermost portion 6 is provided basic function portion, including a runway 7 and a control tower 9. Then in its lower-layer portion formed as a large space of large-span arch shell structure are provided an airport facility portion, including a passenger terminal building and an aircraft hanger/ maintenance area 11, and a city function portion, including offices, a culture facility zone and a R and D zone.
