Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide the speech recognizing device which precisely detects a speech section and recognizes the speech by varying the gain of an amplifier corresponding to a noise level and controlling it. CONSTITUTION:An on-vehicle speech recognizing device where speech-side input and noise-side input are divided is provided with a detection part 10 which detects various factors considered to be a noise generation source during a travel of an automobile. A noise level is calculated on the basis of values detected by the detection part 10 and the gains of microphone amplifiers 2 and 2' are adjusted according to the arithmetic result to precisely detect the speech section and recognize the speech.
