WIRE BONDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of wire and the decrease of strength in a neck part by automatically stopping an automatic operation when the bonding distance of a wires coincide with the range resonating to the frequency of supersonic waves. CONSTITUTION:When the wire-bonding distance or the length of wires (bonding distance, etc.) coincide with the range of resonance to the frequency of supersonic waves, automatic bonding is stopped by a controlling part 2. To be more precise, the distance of bonding is computed from the coordinate of the first and the second points of bonding, and when coincidence is obtained by comparing the distance with the range of resonance determined in advance, the resonance of wires is judged, and automatic bonding is stopped. Accordingly, as the bonding is conducted by a manual operation, the damage on wires and the lowering strength of the neck part can be prevented.
