FORMATION OF COLOR PHOTOGRAPH ELEMENT AND PHOTOGRAPH COUPLER

PURPOSE: To make possible both the acceleration of bleaching and the washing- out of a formed dye at the time of processing a photographing material by incorporating a specified bleaching accelerator release type coupler. CONSTITUTION: This color photographic element has a photographic silver halide emulsion layer and a substrate carrying an image dye forming coupler and a coupler represented by the formula. The latter coupler can release a bleaching accelerator group and forms a compd. washed out after further reaction or can form a compd. washed out of this photographic element during processing at the time of reaction with an oxidized developer. In the formula, SOL is a water solubilizing group, COUP is a coupler part, R is a timing group or a releasing group, R -OC(O)-, -OC(S)-, -SC(O)or -SC(S)-, BLEACH is a bleaching accelerator group releasable at the time of processing, (x) is 1, 2 or 3 and each of (y) and (z) is 0, 1 or 2.
