Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a very simple structure further with sure operation of an energy absorbing structure for absorbing a shock of collision such as when a driver runs against a steering wheel in emergency of the collision or the like. CONSTITUTION:A pressure crushing through part 6 is formed in an upper side bracket A moved with a steering column 2. An energy absorber B, formed of a pressure crushed swollen streak 9 and a flat fixed part 8 continued thereto, is provided. The energy absorber B is inserted through the pressure crushing through part 6 of the bracket A and unmovably mounted, to provide a condition that normally this pressure crushing through part 6 is stopped to an end part of the pressure crushed swollen streak 9.
