PURPOSE: To detect a slide by a method wherein a rear wheel is within a predetermined deceleration band and a pressure is reduced ranging over a predetermined time. CONSTITUTION: In valves 6, 8, in the case of ABS in which a connection between a main brake cylinder and wheel brake is intercepted, it is assumed that, in these valves, a pressure source is separated from a wheel brake cylinder at a basic position, and this connection is formed at a second position, thereby enabling a rise in pressure, and further a drop in pressure is made in the wheel brake at a third position. A wheel deceleration signal of a rear wheel loaded and pressure drop signal are supplied to a block 9 winch senses a slide and also is part of an evaluation circuit 5, and the block 9 generates an output signal, and this signal controls 6, 7, 8 at a pressure raising position via an OR gate 10, and also leads the wheel to a high sliding control, in particular to a block condition.
