DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF AIR BAG FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To perform the accurate detection of collision, and expand an air bag arranged at the appropriate position. CONSTITUTION:At the time of collision, vector is computed on the basis of the acceleration from two directions detected by a forward and backward direction G sensor 14a and a right and left direction G sensor 14b, and the collision direction and the collision acceleration are obtained on the basis of the obtained vector value, and the air bag to be operated in response to the collision direction is set previously. Consequently, an air bag arranged at the appropriate position can be operated at the time of collision.
