Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide a three-dimensional position identifying device with which small size structuring, high precision and high speed operation are achieved. CONSTITUTION:A three-dimensional position identifying device comprises a photographing means 1 to photograph an object and emit the result as an image signal, a rotational supporting mechanism 2 which fixes the photographing direction for the object in the normal direction, rotates at a certain radius, and scans the object so that it is put within the view field of the photographing means from different points, and an angle sensing means 3 which is connected with the rotational supporting mechanism and senses the rotational angle of the photographing means. The arrangement further includes a center-of-gravity sensing means 8 to sense the position of the center of gravity on the image of a characteristic point on the object from the image signal obtained by tone photographing means for each of the points and a coordinates calculating means 9 which determines the three-dimensional coordinates of the characteristic point from the center-of-gravity position information ground for the same characteristic point on the object photographed in a plurality of sheets of images and the output group of the angle sensing means when each image is photographed and identifies the position of the object.
