Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a working method for a piston by which stress concentration on the edge of a pin boss part can be prevented. CONSTITUTION:A piston pin 14 is fitted in the pin boss part 18 of a piston, force larger than an explosion load which is usually applied on the piston pin is added to the piston pin 14 from the back of the piston toward the surface side by means of a movable body 21, and hence plastic deformation is generated on the edge (B part in the figure) of the pin boss part 18, by utilizing the elastic deformation of the piston pin 14.
