PURPOSE:To securely prevent erroneous detection and improve the reliability of control by carrying out the judgment of the trouble of various communication cables which makes an engine torque change control function at the time of gear change, when the detection of trouble by a trouble detecting means is repeated for plural times. CONSTITUTION:An engine control means A controls an engine and an automatic transmission control means B separately formed from the control means A controls an automatic transmission, and both control means A, B are connected to each other by means of various communication cables, enabling the change of engine torque at the time of gear change. In an integral control system with such a structure, a trouble detecting means C for detecting the trouble of the communication cables is provided. The output signal of the trouble detecting means C is inputted into a trouble detecting number detecting means D to judge whether the detection of trouble is repeated for plural times. And, when the detection of trouble is repeated for plural times, a trouble condition judging means E judges to be a trouble condition, carrying out defined processing after that.
