CURATIVE MEDICINE FOR ERYTHROPENIA

PURPOSE:To provide curative medicine for erythropenia containing a condensed pyrazole compound as an active ingredient and having action to recover the reduction in red blood cell count caused by marrow transplantation or irradiation with radioactive rays. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I {X is N, CH; R is H, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen; Y is formula II, phenyl which may be substituted; Y is formula III, -A -B , H, alkyl, phenylalkyl which may be substituted; alkoxyalkyl, carboxyalkyl; either of Y or Y , or both of them are formula II or formula III [Z , Z are O, S, NR (R is H, alkyl); A , A are alkylene; B , B are H, alkyl, dialkylamino); L , L are H, halogen, alkyl]}, for example, 3-[4-(2- dimethylamino-1-methylethoxy)phenyl]-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine-1-acetic acid is used as an active ingredient of the objective erythropenia curative medicine.
