Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a wire rope fitting device for an elevator whereby a wire rope can be fitted to a rope socket in a short time and by small labor. CONSTITUTION:A device comprises a supporting base 2 for supporting a rope socket 1, clamping part 4 for holding a wire rope 3 and an actuator, for instance, lever 5 for giving tension between the rope socket 1 and the wire rope 3 through this clamping part 4. In this way, improvement of work efficiency can be achieved.
