HOLDING DEVICE OF GRINDING WHEEL

PURPOSE:To secure the holding rigidity of a grinding wheel even though the diameters of a grinding wheel shaft and an auxiliary shaft are set relatively in a small diameter, by making the grinding wheel held at both ends by the grinding wheel shaft and the auxiliary shaft which are held with bearings respectively. CONSTITUTION:A grinding wheel 12 fixed to the grinding wheel holder 14 of a grinding wheel shaft 20 is held with the grinding wheel shaft 20 and an auxiliary shaft 30 at both ends through bearings 26 and 34 respectively, and driven to rotate. As a result, even though the diameters of the grinding wheel shaft 20 and the auxiliary shaft 30 are set relatively in a small diameter, the holding rigidity of the grinding wheel 12 can be secured effectively, and the whole body of a holding device 10 can be made in a compact size. Furthermore, the grinding wheel 12 can be removed from the grinding wheel holder 14 of the grinding wheel shaft 20 only by removing the auxiliary shaft 30 from the grinding wheel shaft 20 through a fixing mechanism 32, and the mounting and the demounting work of the grinding wheel 1 2 can be carried out rapidly and easily.
