AIR CONDITIONER FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle enabling the radiation of energy used for heating operation without generating a blur on the window glass. CONSTITUTION:A duct 2 for sending air into the vehicle interior is provided with a cooling by-pass passage 20 making a detour around an upstream cooling means 18, and a heating by-pass passage 21 making a detour around a downstream heating means 19, and the duct 2 is provided in such a way as to enable the formation of first passages 22 passing only the cooling means 18, second passages 23 passing both cooling means 18 and heating means 19, and a third passage 24 passing only the heating means 19. The first passages 22 are provided in such a way that outside air can be led therein, and the third passage 24 is provided in such a way that only internal air can be led therein. At the time of heating operation, the air passing the third passage 24 so as to be reheated by the heating means 19 is blown off to the occupant's feet to suppress heating load, and the mixed air of the outside air and internal air having passed the cooling means 18 is blown off to the window glass to suppress the blur on the window.
