ELECTROPHORETIC IMAGE COPYING DEVICE AND ELECTROPHORETIC IMAGE DISPLAY SHEET FOR HOLDING COPIED IMAGE

PURPOSE:To obtain an image copying device which can be repeatedly used without requiring such an intermediate medium such as toner. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted of an electrostatic charger 2 electrostatically charging the entire surface of a photosensitive body 1 with even charge 3, an optical writing unit 4 writing a latent charge image 3' in accordance with an image signal on the photosensitive body 1 electrostatically charged, and a electrophoretic image display sheet 5 which is brought into tightly contact with the photosensitive body 1 on which a latent image is formed and which forms a developed image by electrophoretic action by means of the electric field of the latent charge image 3'. Thus, image copying can be performed at a high speed, and the copied image can be erased in order to repeatedly use it so that resources can be economized.
