Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide the device which does not generate the white spots and fogging by nonuniformity of electrostatic charge, the image defects by the leakage of a photosensitive body, etc., has the long printing resistant life of the photosensitive body and can stably supply high-quality copied images by forming the surface layer of the photosensitive body as a layer formed by dispersing conductive particles into a resin. CONSTITUTION:The body to be electrostatically charged consists of a photosensitive base 1A, a photosensitive layer 1B and a surface layer 1C. A contact electrostatic charging device consists of an arbor part 2A, an elastic layer 2B a resistance layer 2C and a power source device 3. The direct implantation of charges is made possible by forming the surface layer 1C as a layer formed by dispersing the conductive particles into the resin, by which the unequal electrification observed with an electric discharge is greatly ameliorated. Superfine particles of zinc oxide, titanium oxide, tin oxide, etc., are usable as the conductive particles. Further, the surface layer 1C is formed by dispersing the conductive particle into the resin formed by polymerizing a photosetting type acrylic monomer having >=3 pieces of acryloyl groups in one molecule, by which the film strength and the dispersibility of the conductive particle are exceedingly improved.
