Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide a communication equipment which unnecessitates wiring, does not exert any adverse influence upon the periphery, is not adversely affected from the periphery and extends a transmission distance. CONSTITUTION:On a support board 3, plural light emitting elements 2 are arranged in the shape of a parabolic antenna so that a light receiving element 12 of a receiver 11 can be at a focal position. On the other hand, the number of bits in code data outputted from a multipulse modulation circuit 8 is made correspondent to the number of light emitting elements 2. The light emitting elements 2 are successively emitted with time division by a multipulse modulation signal outputted from the multipulse modulation circuit 8 corresponding to the bit data of code data. Therefore, since they are different from electromagnetic waves but infrared rays, no adverse influence is exerted upon the periphery, and the device is not adversely affected from the periphery. Further, the light emitting elements 2 perform multipulse light emission with time division, the device can be driven by a large driving current, emitted light intensity can be increased, and the transmission distance can be extended.
