Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide the development processing method for the positive photosensitive material for the planographic printing plate not causing the trouble that a dye due to coupling of an o-quinonediazido compound remains on the support of the printing plate even when the development processing is continued for a long period while feeding a replenishing solution. CONSTITUTION:The positive photosensitive material containing the o- quinonediazido compound is developed and processed by conveying it in an automatic developing machine and developing and processing it with an aqueous alkaline developing solution repeatedly used and supplied with a replenishing solution, and the development processing method is characterized by containing in the developing solution and/or its replenishing solution an aromatic carboxylic or sulfonic acid or their salts.
