Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To construct the titled plasmid pJMC1, by inserting a specific DNA fragment containing yeast alcohol dehydrogenase 1 gene promoter of a plasmid pAMC1 into a BamHI site of a plasmid pJDB219. CONSTITUTION:A DNA fragment containing a promoter of yeast alcohol dehy drogenase 1 (hereinafter abbreviated to ADH) gene, gene coding p-450MC and terminator of ADH and having about 4kb is cut out of a plasmid pAMC1 with a restriction enzyme BamHI. The resultant DNA fragment is then inserted into a BamHI site of a plasmid pJDB219 to construct a plasmid pJMC1. A yeast strain holding the above-mentioned plasmid pJMC1 is capable of mass-pro ducing P-450MC having high oxidation activity.
