Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To produce a carbon black which has fine particle diameter and sharp particle diameter distribution equivalent to those of channel black and is suitable for high-grade color. CONSTITUTION:In a process for collecting carbon black by allowing the incomplete combustion flame of feedstock hydrocarbon to collide against a collection plate to deposit thereon, a hydrocarbon gas having a ratio of hydrogen atoms to carbon atoms(H/C) of above 1:1 is used as raw material and the gas is preheated at the injection step before incomplete conbustion.
