METHOD FOR FILLING MOLTEN METAL IN DIE CASTING

PURPOSE:To enable the casting of a product having excellent cast surface and little cast blow holes by providing a runner and a gate for filling the molten metal and mechanism for changing the gate thickness and changing the gate thickness during casting. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal 10 poured into a plunger sleeve 5 is filled into a cavity 7 from a piston tip 6. In the gate part, a gate block 9 providing a cylinder 8 for shifting the gate block is constituted. By the signal detecting the filling condition of the molten metal 10 corresponding to the position of an injection cylinder, the gate block 9 is advanced or retracted. At the time of changing the gate thickness with the gate block 9, the filling direction of the molten metal 10 to the cavity 7 can be changed. By this method, the product having excellent cast surface and little cast blow holes is produced and the time needed for decision of a casting planning is shortened.
