Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To simplify a mounting operation by making it possible to fit and mount this garbage treating device into the mounting hole of a sink from the upper part of the sink. CONSTITUTION:A casing 1 of the garbage treating device is composed of a circular conical hood 2 and a cylindrical case 3. This hood 2 and this cylindrical case 3 are connected by a connecting part 4. The lower part of the casing 1 is provided with a housing 5 for waterproofing for hermetically housing a motor. The garbage treating device is formed to the largest outside diameter smaller than the bore of the mounting hole 9 of the sink 8.
