Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide a manufacturing method for high corrosive resist suspending spring having good coating corrosive resistance without delayed fracture. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacturing method for suspending spring by executing one series of the processes of soaking treatment, hot forming, quenching, tempering, stress peening, chemical conversion treatment, coating, etc., or soaking treatment, cold forming, tempering, stress peening, chemical conversion treatment, coating, etc., nickel is electrolytically coated at least on a part of the surface of a steel material for spring, beforehand to manufacture the suspending spring after executing the one series of the process. Since hydrogen in the steel material is released and also nickel is diffusion-infiltrated at the time of executing the soaking treatment, the corrosive resistance at the contact part between the suspending spring materials in salt damage environment is improved, and the development of the fracture starting point is prevented and the effect for preventing the delayed fracture is large. Further, one series of the manufacturing process for spring can be used as it is, and the advantage of the equipment cost is large.
