SWITCHBOARD SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To perform processing of the offer of a switchboard operator service and the offer of the other service to a subscriber by the same terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:When a switchboard controller 3 receives the request call for the switchboard operator service from a subscriber 1 through a line exchange system 2, the switchboard controller 3 activates an empty terminal equipment 5a through an LAN 6. When the operator of a terminal equipment 5a responds thereto, the subscriber 1 is connected through the line exchange system 2, switchboard controller 3, and LAN 6 with the equipment 5a, and the subscriber 1 can receive the switchboard operator service by a voice from the operator of the terminal equipment 5a. When the terminal equipment 5a offers a data base retrieval service of an electronic mail service to the subscriber, the operator of the terminal equipment 5a connects a service controller 4 through the LAN 6 with the switchboard controller 3, and offers the data communication service of the electronic mail service to the subscriber 1.
