IMPROVED-TYPE SCAVENGELESS DEVELOPING DEVICE HAVING DONOR ROLL WITH ELECTRODE

PURPOSE: To provide a scavengeless developing system capable of reducing arc generation and influence caused by the arc generation. CONSTITUTION: This device for developing a latent image recorded on a surface includes a housing 44 forming a storage chamber 76 for the toner of a certain supply quantity, a moving donor roll 40 arranged at a distance from the surface and constituted to carry the toner to a developing zone adjacent to the surface from the storage chamber 76 of the housing 44, plural electrodes 43 arranged in a longitudinal direction in the donor roll 40, and a commutator provided with a brush 114 constituted to come into contact with a part of electrodes 42 and 43 which are partially paired and equipped with a fiber having specified resistance, and coming into contact with the electrode 43 along a part of the circumference of the donor roll 40 adjacent to the developing zone.
