SHEET FEEDER AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide a sheet feeder for making operability stable of conveying a sheet even by changing a kind of the sheet and an environment, increasing a process speed, and the like. CONSTITUTION:A sheet point end part, conveyed by paired conveying rollers 14a, 14b, is made to collide against a nip ridge line of paired register rollers 15a, 15b placed in a stop condition, to correct a diagonal feed by generating deflection in a sheet P. Next, the paired register rollers 15a, 15b, after driven for a prescribed time at a speed lower than a process speed till the sheet P is interposed in a nip total region of the paired register rollers 15a, 15b, are stopped to perform holding the sheet P. Then by the prescribed timing, the paired conveying rollers 14a, 14b and the paired register rollers 15a, 15b are driven at the process speed, to convey the sheet P to a transfer part.
