Zusammenfassung:NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [n is 1 or 2; Y represents CH or N; R1 represents lower hydrocarbon, carboxyl-substituted lower alkyl, carbamoyl-substituted lower alkyl or cyclopropyl-substituted lower alkyl; R2 represents OH, (hydroxyl-substituted) lower alkyl or carbamoyl] and salt thereof. EXAMPLE:7beta-[( Z )-2-( 2-Aminothiazol-4-yl )-2-methoxyiminoacetamido)-3-(4-hydro xy-1,4-methylene-1-pyperidinio)methyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylate expressed by formu la II. USE:An antimicrobial agent against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula III (X is halogen atom), a derivative thereof wherein amino group and carboxyl group are protected or a salt thereof is reacted with a compound expressed by formula IV or a salt thereof, and, as necessary, followed by elimination of the protecting group.
