SHOCK EXPERIENCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To enable a person to experience shock under various kinds of collision conditions and to reduce the size of the device by constituting a driving source freely controllably in speed so as to vary the collision speed of a boarding seat and a collision piece. CONSTITUTION:The experimenting person seats on a sitting seat 31 and fastens a seat belt around his body and thereafter, a revolving shaft 7 is revolved forward by a motor 5. As a result, the boarding seat 3 and the collision piece 4 are accelerated to approach and come into collision against each other in the central part of a machine bed 1 so that the person experiences the generated shock. The motor 5 is thereafter run backward to part the boarding seat 3 and the collision piece 4 until both return to their home positions. The revolving shaft 7 and the motor 5 are disconnected by an electromagnetic clutch 6 just before the collision to avoid exerting too much stress on the motor 5. The direction in which the person receives the shock is freely selectable by swiveling the sitting seat 31 and changing its direction relative to the collision piece 4. The collision speed is freely settable by regulating the rotating speed of the motor 5. The experimenting person is, therefore, able to experience various kinds of the shock meeting actual collision accidents.
