LIGHTWEIGHT RIMLESS SPECTACLE FRAME

PURPOSE:To obtain the spectacle frame which is lightweight, delicate, and fine in the structure of connection parts of the lenses, bridge, and temples of the rimless spectacle frame which is structured so that the lenses are held with wires. CONSTITUTION:A wire which has one end engaged with a cylindrical box nut 2 with a through-hole provided to the bridge 1 and the other end connected to a small screw 14 with a through-hole is used to clamp the peripheral groove of a lens by fitting a linear projection, provided on the flank of the cylindrical box nut 2, in and along the peripheral groove 12 of the lens 3 and threadably engaging the small screw 14 with the box nut 12, thereby fixing the bridge 1. A through-hole in a lengthwise right-angle direction and a semicylindrical fitting cylinder part around the through-hole are provided at the base end of a temple and while the fitting cylinder part is fitted in the peripheral groove 12 of the lens, the temple is clamped to the lens with the wire 21; and the fitting cylinder part is slid in the peripheral groove 12 to open and close the temple.
