Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide the process for production of the highly corrosion resistant suspension springs having the good corrosion resistance of coating of the contact parts between spring wires. CONSTITUTION:The process for production of the suspension springs consisting of a series of stages including soaking treatment, hot molding, hardening, tempering, shot peening, chemical conversion treating, coating and baking or the process for production of the suspension spring consisting of a series of stages including cold molding, soaking treatment, hardening, tempering, shot peening, chemical conversion treatment, coating and baking includes a series of the production processes for electroplating nickel on at least a part of the surfaces of the molded spring materials after the shot peening. The direct use of a series of the spring production stages is possible and the corrosion resistance of the contact parts between the suspension spring wires in salt damage environment is improved and the generation of a fracture start point is prevented.
