DETERGENT COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To obtain a detergent composition, containing a specific 3a-sulfofatty acid derivative, excellent in resistance to hard water and dispersibility, having high preventing effects on redeposition and extremely low skin irritancy and suitable for cothes, wood surfaces, skin, hair, etc. CONSTITUTION:The composition contains an alpha-sulfofatty acid derivative of formula I {R1 and R2 are 6-18C alkyl or alkenyl; M1 and M2 are H, alkali metal, etc.; Z is linear or branched chainlike alkylene or (C2H4NH)nC2H4 (n is 1-3) (e.g. na salt of isoprenebis alpha-sulfomyristamide) in an amount of preferably 5-40wt.%. This compound of formula I is obtained by a method for sulfonating, e.g. fatty acids according to a well-known method, reacting the resultant compounds of formulas II and III with thionyl chloride, providing acid chlorides of formulas IV and V, then amidating the prepared compounds of formulas IV and V with a polyamine of the formula H2B(Z)NH2 and further, as necessary, neutralizing the resultant compounds.
