CONSTITUTION:The method for producing glycerol carbonate is characterized by reacting glycerol with ethylene carbonate in the presence of one or two or more metallic oxide catalysts selected from aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, zinc oxide, titanium oxide, lead oxide and silicates of alumina.
