ORTHOTIC BRACKET WITH ARCH WIRE SLOT LINER

PURPOSE: To constitute an orthodontic bracket by combining an arch wire slot with a liner which locates in a long channel under the conditions of the liner in tension condition and the body in compression condition. CONSTITUTION: The bracket 20 has a ceramics bracket body 22 having a long channel 24 therein, liner 26 locates in the channel 24 and fits the channel 24 perfectly. The liner 26 includes a central part composed of a bottom wall 38, mating wall 40 and tooth side walls 42, the tooth side walls 42 are parallel to each other and are at right angle to the bottom wall 38 so the wall 38, 40 and 42 provide in combination an arch wire slot 43 in U shape. The U shape of the arch wire slot 43 agrees well with the cross section of a rectangle arch wire, and so, as an orthodontic treatment known to be a trace cure technique, the slot 43 receipts supplementarily the arch wire so as to tightly fit the arch wire into the slot.
