MAGNETIC SHIELDING STRUCTURE FOR FREE ACCESS FLOOR

PURPOSE:To reduce magnetic troubles by providing a magnetic shielding member on the rear surface of each cover member and magnetically connecting the cover members through contact parts provided on the four sides of the magnetic shielding member. CONSTITUTION:A concrete floor 3 is constructed on a steel framed column 1 and a beam 2, and supporting legs 5, 5 are provided on the floor 3 at predetermined intervals. Next a plurality of rectangular panels 6, 6 are provided on the legs 5 and further cover members 7, 7 having the same shape as the panel 6 such as tile, carpet are disposed on the panels 6 to form a free access floor, wherein a magnetic shielding member 9 having high permeability such as a sheet comprising a silicon steel plate, amorphous sheet, or a sheet prepared by pasting together the silicon steel plate and the amorphous sheet is provided over the rear surface of the cover members 7 or on the upper surfaces of the panels 6. Contact parts 9a extending to the sides of the cover members 7 are formed on the four sides of each member 9 so that the adjacent cover members 7 are magnetically connected surely to each other through the contact parts 9a.
