PNEUMATIC TIRE

PURPOSE:To improve comfortableness and operational stability and to reduce road noise without an increase in weight by composing a sidewall of the combination of tire radial upper and lower parts formed of rubbers having different fixed material properties, and arranging the position of their joint face in a fixed domain. CONSTITUTION:A sidewall 5 is formed of upper and lower parts 5u, 5d, which are formed of rubber having different rubber characteristics, namely JIS hardness being 50 or less, 58 or more, and tangent loss being 0.15 or more, 0.18 or more. The average position of the joint face of the upper and lower parts 5u, 5d is arranged within a domain being 1/3 to 2/3 of the height H of the section of a tire from the outer periphery J of the tire toward the radial inside of the tire. Thus bending ability near the buttress part of the upper part 5u is improved to improve comfortableness, and rigidity near a bead part is heightened to improve operational stability, and the volume of rubber is lessened to make the tire lighter for reducing road noise.
