METHOD FOR SEPARATING BLOOD COAGULATION VIII FACTOR

PURPOSE:To obtain a method for effectively separating VIII factor using an adsorbent capable of directly, specifically and effectively adsorbing VIII factor from a solution containing various kinds of platelet proteins containing VIII factor and capable of readily carrying out desorption and recovery of the adsorbed VIII factor. CONSTITUTION:VIII factor is adsorbed on an absorbent consisting a complex obtained by binding and fixing a molecule having a polycation to a water- insoluble carrier and then, the VIII factor is eluted using an aqueous solution containing calcium ion as an elute. The adsorbent used exhibits extremely specific adsorption behavior to the VIII factor and the VIII factor can be recovered in high selective ratio and yield using an aqueous solution containing calcium and capable of adsorbing the VIII factor from various platelet proteins containing VIII factor in high yield as an elute.
