Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide uniform penetration by rotating one of the parts to be welded and eccentrically swaying the part at the same time, returning the parts to be welded in a concentrical manner when the prescribed friction heat is obtained, and pressing them against each other. CONSTITUTION:Parts 1, 2 to be welded are brought into contact with each other. A chuck 4 which holds the part 2 to be welded is rotated by a rotating device 5. At the same time, an eccentrically swaying mechanism 10 sways the part 2 to be welded through the chuck 4. The centers of the parts 1, 2 to be welded are eccentrically swayed, and as a result, the center parts of the friction surface of the parts 1, 2 to be welded are sufficiently heated, and uniform penetration can be obtained over the whole range of the friction surface. When the friction surfaces of the parts 1, 2 to be welded are sufficiently heated by the friction heat, the centers of the parts 1, 2 to be welded are put together, a clutch 9 is disconnected, the rotation of a braking mechanism 8 is rapidly stopped, and both parts are press-joined by a pressing mechanism 7. The oxide on the friction surface is removed.
