Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To enable recording on a par with recording with an information recording medium for which a liquid crystal having positive dielectric constant anisotropy is used by forming an information recording layer of a liquid crystal layer having negative dielectric constant anisotropy and a resin layer. CONSTITUTION:This information recording medium 3 is composed of the information recording layer 11, an electrode layer 13 and a substrate 15. The information recording layer 11 consists of the liquid crystal phase and the resin phase and any liquid crystal materials having the negative dielectric constant anisotropy are usable as the liquid crystal material. Ferroelectric liquid crystal materials or antiferroelectric liquid crystal materials which are recently studied for use in displays, etc., are usable as well. A photoconductive layer 14 may otherwise be built into such information recording medium 3 and the information recording is enabled by the medium itself without requiring an optical sensor, etc., at the time of the information recording. Namely, the information recording medium 3 in such a case is composed of the information recording layer 11, the electrode layers 13, 13', the photoconductive layer 14 and the substrate 15. The information recording layer 11 of the similar constitution mentioned above is laminated on the photoconductive layer 14 and thereafter, the electrode layer 13 is laminated thereon. |
