Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a removing device for metal from a melting furnace, by which molten metal accumulating on the bottom of the furnace is safely discharged. CONSTITUTION:A metal removal chamber 9 is situated along a side of the bottom in a furnace body 2 via a submerged wire 8 and a sliding gate 12 is equipped on the outer wall of the metal removal chamber 9. In the metal removal chamber 9, a liftable auxiliary arc electrode 14 as an auxiliary heating device is provided so that the fluidity of the molten metal in the metal removal chamber 9 can be controlled. The sliding gate 12 is opened to discharge the molten metal.
