Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To accurately predict slopping and to restrain the development of the slopping by processing slag quantity and basicity, variation in sound in a furnace and variation in decarburizing rate or the like during blowin by fuzzy inference in an oxygen blowing converter operation. CONSTITUTION:At the time of oxygen-blowing to oxidize C in the molten iron by the decarburizing reaction oxygen-blowing by using molten iron as raw material in the oxygen top-blowing converter or top-bottom combined converter to refine the molten iron into molten steel, information of the slag quantity and the basicity, etc., in the converter being an index of the generation of the slopping and signals of the variation in the sound in the furnace which can estimate the furnace condition during oxygen blowing and the variation in the decarburizing reaction in the molten iron by analyzing top furnace exhaust gas, etc., are processed by the fuzzy inference to predict the generation of the slopping with the excellent accuracy. Based on the predicted result, the quantity of depressant of coolant, etc., is decided and immediately, the optimum quantity of the depressant is charged into the converter at good timing to efficiently prevent the generation of the slopping in the converter.
